&Nuts Commercial – Shot on Phantom HD

I recently completed a commercial for which I worked as Digital Cinema Consultant which was shot on Phantom HD Digital Cinema Camera (capable of capturing up to 1000 fps). I managed the On shoot media management and Post-production workflow for the project and used Phantom’s raw file format “cine” till final film print & digital exhibition.

Digital Cinema Lab

Sorry for the self promotion post. I am setting up a Digital Cinema Lab in Chennai, India.
Our Digital Cinema Lab facility provides data management for entire project as well as workflow management for Digital Cinema Cameras RED ONE, Phantom HD, Silicon Imaging SI2K and various HD Videos Cameras like Sony Cine Alta F23 and Panasonic Varicam. Our workflow caters complete file based workflow from shoot to final output either as digital release or film print.
Digital Cinema Lab facility provides the following offerings
- On-Set Backup
- Off-Set Backup to Multiple RAID-5/6 Storage solutions
- LTO 3 Tape Backup (Archiving)
- Offline Dailies as Quick Time movies in Pro RES422 codec for FCP based editing / MXF files (ready to use) for AVID based editing. Both formats will be delivered in 720p HD format in 10-bit, which can be used to finish for broadcast without the so called process called Online. Optional 1080p output also be delivered based on client request.
- Offline Dailies in Blu-ray also be delivered based on client requisite.
- Conform for final edit decision will be done and delivered as 10-bit DPX log files for DI finish.
- DI & CG solution also provided with better understanding of file based management from shoot to finish.
- Worked on Commercial from pre-production to finish on Phantom HD Digital Cinema Camera shoot (Even Phantom doesn’t have post-production workflow clear cut solution).
- Worked on Commercial and Music Video for RED ONE Digital Cinema Camera.
- Worked on trial shoot on SI2K (Silicon Imaging Digital Cinema Camera).
Million picture per second on Phantom V12

Vision Research has introduced new camera Phantom V12 which can hold upto million-picture per second. They already have Phantom HD which can record upto 1000fps at 2048 X 2048 in 512GB Solid state kind of drive from them.Phantom v12 offers unique Extreme Dynamic Range (EDR) feature giving you the ability to get two different exposures within a single frame. And, with auto exposure, the camera adjusts to changing lighting conditions automatically.
v12 comes with 8GB of high-speed dynamic RAM standard, but 16GB or 32GB versions can be ordered as an option. Our segmented memory allows you to divide this into up to 64 segments so you can take multiple shots back-to-back without the need to download data from the camera.
