I want to buy a 35mm adapter alongwith a digital prosumer camera “Canon Vixia HV30/HV40″. But unfortunately, i dont know anyone who knows about 35mm adapters like Letus35, Brevis35, JAG35, SG pro or Recdrockmicro in India. Moreover I couldnt find Canon HV30/40 in DELHI. Please guide me and help me out.
I wanna make regional movies in digital formats but dont wanna compromise in the quality front. Phantom, Red and ARRI D21 are unaffordable.
Thank you every much for the suggestion. But i have a doubt about the audio recording system of the EOS 7D and other accessories like tripod, steadicams and the like. I have seen Zacuto accessories but they may be available in India till date. Plz enlighten me with more detail.

I reqire a HD camera with the likes of red one or viper, for 20 days, sugest a camera of cheaper rental all the same which can give the depth of 35 mm as we are doing a low budget feature film

I am from coimbatore and video is my hobby. Recently to achieve film look, I bought Panasonic GH1. It delivers excellent quality for the money. Though I love shooting in 1080p, its just 24 fps and 17Mbps max.
Do you have any suggestion like any other DSLR that can compete with GH1 at this price and features? (great if 60 fps and more Mbps at 1080p).
Also, as per my understanding (I am SW engineer, far away from photography and videography), with GH1 we achieve only 1.9k (1920×1080) but films usually scanned at 2k. Is it possible to achieve the clarity of hollywood films? I think they are digitised at 4k. With that clarity and grains, they look way awesome than my 1080p digital video, though mine is way better than ordinary camcorders.
Another general doubt, though tamil padam was shot on red, I could not find any difference between this movie at cinema and any other movie. Is it because of analog cinema ( digitised content converted back to film and projected). May be we can get that visual treat in digital cinema? whats missing?

canon eos 7d is ideal for your work which cost lesser and also provides cinematic look with all canon still camera lenses and manual shutter.

What kind of work you are talking about. Based on your final output and budget, I can suggest you either Digital Cinema Camera or HD Video Camera?
